Most probably, you already master the art of Sprezzatura.

If you have not yet encountered this word, "Sprezzatura" is an Italian word that has been used in men's fashion for a while. It originates from Baldassare Castiglione's The Book of the Courtier. It is defined by the author as "a certain nonchalance, to conceal all art and make whatever one does or says appear to be without effort and almost without any thought about it". With the film House of Gucci launched in 2021, this word has gained more popularity.

Men and women with Sprezzatura confidently mix styles like wearing vintage with new, casual with formal, adding a dash of colour, and playing with fabrics. This style influences as well the way we accessorize and wear our jewellery. And since jewellery should be worn and not rest in your jewellery box, here are a few insights.

Play with the unexpected

Dress with ease and spontaneity, from a low-key piece to your most precious heirloom. Wear your classic jewellery with a t-shirt and a denim jacket.

Combine your pearl necklace with other trendy necklaces, such as the surfer's beaded necklaces, or mix it with other gemstone necklaces.

Wear your vintage jewellery with modern clothing pieces.

Create unexpected combinations and textures

Sprezzatura is about breaking the rules, but just a bit. Create a slightly undone look by wearing nice, tailored clothing and accessorizing in unexpected ways.

Wear your pearls with leather.

Style it your way

Sprezzatura is about rebellion and looking different, but it is also about looking like yourself and finding what's suits you. Experiment by styling your clothes a certain way or by wearing your signature accessory.

Mix "high fashion" and "street fashion" looks through accessories. For example, wear a tailored suit and pair it with colourful beaded bracelets or multiple chains.

Wear your little black dress with multiple beaded bracelets or by stacking several necklaces.

The trick is to make your looks appear effortless. Like if you have dressed and accessorized your look without thinking and fussing about it.

It's all about finding the right balance.
